RENEWABLE ENERGY, FOOD PRODUCTION

A MAJOR STEP FORWARD IN BOTH FOOD PRODUCTION AND RENEWABLE ENERGY

THE PROBLEM

The global population is set to reach 10.5 billion by 2050.
Feeding everyone means substantially increasing local food production and finding solutions that don’t rely on fossil fuels. The East Anglia greenhouses are a terrific example of how we can use what is already in our environment to make things work with a lot less greenhouse gas emissions.

WHAT WE DID

Step Associates were appointed as the Project Managers, Owners Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Principal Designers for the management of these multi contract projects. Step Associates provided Project Management leadership through their Directors, with permanent site based Construction Management. These were supported by Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Commercial Management. Safety was a primary focus for all parties to the Contract, which became ever more important with COVID-19. Step Associates provided not only the Principal Designers; but also on site safety inspections and tracking of all on site safety matters.
