We are very excited to welcome Shane Kerslake to Step Associates. Shane brings with him 30+ years experience in construction, utilities infrastructure and facilities management, with a solid background in project management over the past 18 years.

His first position since retiring from the Army was as Senior Project Manager for an international Property Services Company managing projects throughout the UK.

Shane retired from the Royal Engineers as a Garrison Engineer, after a full career of 23 years joining as a Sapper (Private Soldier) and retiring as a Commissioned Officer. He reflects on his time in the Army as both fulfilling and exciting, and one he looks back on with pride and fond memories.

Shane has delivered various types of construction projects in multiple countries across the globe, sometimes in not so pleasant surroundings and often having unique complexities to resolve; such as airfield infrastructure in northern Iraq, to tracks and bridges in the jungles of Belize, and accommodation blocks in the north of Norway.

This has allowed him to acquire invaluable experience and a problem-solving mindset, which he is sure he will put to good use in his new role. Shane says he is looking forward to the new challenges and being part of a team delivering some exciting projects at Step Associates.
